Friendships

Spent the weekend in Kingston an a cruise with friends.   It’s was  probably the last cruise of the year.   Weather is changing,  more cool weather, rain, unpredictable sea states, and wind.    One thing that continues on after the boats put away for the season is the friendships made.   Had an old friend (circa 1998!) help me finish moving some heavy stuff.

I was reminded, again, that these friendships are priceless, bottomless even.   They keep us grounded and kinda hold our place in this life.

Then there are friendships that are more shallow but just as fulfilling.   You know,  the ones you love to hang with and catch up with a few times a year.   Luv those.

For me lately it’s been nurturing new friendships.   Ones that almost feel awkward as you start,  but you know they’re worth it because they make you feel whole, worthy,  and are great for your self esteem.

Wishing you fair winds and following seas!

Jeff
