Cruised to Kingston for the Blackberry Festival. They definitely take the Blackberry part serious, they are everywhere. Also toured a retired naval warship, and checked out the naval museum. Had to find something else to do besides wander in the hordes of people all day. I was with other cruisers and had some dock time off the boat. Got to know more boaters, always nice. Never in a million years did I expect I’d be in a place like this in a vessel like this. But rolling with the changes.
A conversation on the dock sparked me to this post. A fella said he finds his life is more chill and happy if he thinks of himself as a ball of clay. So of course I was like, you gotta explain that!
He said that as his life has changed over the years his wants and needs changed, a lot. He keeps re-moulding himself to maintain happiness in his life. Through, deaths, divorce, and all the other shit life threw at him, he just adjusted a little so his expectations and his reality were lined up. He made it sound so simple to be happy!
Wishing you fair winds and following seas!
Jeff
