Patience

I was raised by Pa for most of my teenage years.   You know,  the ones we listen so well in, not!

His words of wisdom I secretly soaked up like a sponge.   The one thing he said to me about being in a hurry all the time was,  “slow down, it’ll come.” (Ya, I was that kid!).   He was usually referring to a seized bolt as we tested our patience together under the hood of a car.

He preached about this to me a lot in various ways.    The last time was when he told me to “slow down, it’ll come”, in reference to a business I had opened.   That came with a smile and pat on the shoulder.

His patience was sometimes  challenged, even into his later years,  as everyone who loves him knows!!  lol Pa!   But so right he was.

We all have patience issues, and maybe always will,  but we don’t stop working on it.   Life gives us plenty of things to practice on.  Just slow down,  it’ll come!

Wishing you fair winds and following seas!

Jeff
