Spent a week or so up at Port Townsend. It’s a small harbor town on the Northwest corner of Puget Sound. Crabbing, fishing, taking pictures, walking around exploring the town. About 20 years ago a friend gave me a growler of beer from a Port Townsend brewery. I used to look at the art work on the jug and think, “someday I’ll visit”.
So I did, and now I can check that off, and I’m sure I’ll visit again.
Our somedays usually never arrive, instead they stay some days till we’re gone from this life.
Once you feel you’re expiration date approaching, the clock ticking away, or just get too close to that final moment, the sky’s suddenly clear. The bullshit and roadblocks that life puts in your way suddenly aren’t such a big deal. And you start working on your somedays.
Live, Laugh, Love, and do what your heart has always desired now, not someday.
Wishing you fair winds and following seas.
Jeff
