         Why I boat

Beautiful

I often get some pretty strange looks when I tell people I spend summers cruising around the Salish Sea and then winter in Montana.   When I get that crinkled face look, or the “are you crazy” response, I quickly realize I really don’t care what anyone thinks about it.  I do this because it makes me happy.

But I have found this year that breaks are nice, especially when you’re single handing and can’t seem to dock very well in wind, like ANY wind.   So instead of crashing, I watch the weather close, dock early, and avoid the wind if I can.   And even with this,   I can’t get enough.   Cruising, boat work, dock conversations, adrenaline rushes.   Makes me feel alive, and with fresh Sea air!

It’s saving me one day at a time.

I’ve said it before but it deserves another mention,   “Find your thing”.  Not that thing!   The thing that makes you happy, truly happy.

Wishing you fair winds and following seas!   Jeff
