I’m in a port called Kingston today. I left a beautiful port and came into Admiralty inlet and pretty quickly got 4’seas. Big surprise, but that’s the water over here. I was pretty happy to see safe harbor. This keeps happening and when it does, I think it’s piss poor planning and think about turning around and starting over later. But of course I don’t. lol!
I wrote a book a few years ago about starting over after a head injury and my journey through it. In fact thats the title! I thought that was that and I just didn’t have another “start over” left. Most days I still think that but the days that I’m feeling optimistic seem doable.
Point is, there’s always tomorrow to start over. No matter what your seas look like. Just keep picking yourself up and try and try again.
I believe our minds, bodies and general vibe will lead us the right direction if we pay attention
After all, there’s always tomorrow. Not much worse than wandering around trying to look happy and have a stranger walk up to you and say “You look so sad!”
Fair winds and following seas, Jeff
