Now I wait

Said my goodbyes to family and friends, currently eating my fridge empty, packing up boat stuff, and staying busy on hikes, walks, and gym so I don’t go crazy.

As my first year operating the boat single handed I gotta say, a little nervous. But it’ll be a fun adventure anyways. Just getting ready to go and thinking about the work ahead makes me a little perkier and helps me feel a “little” younger. Age gets us, period. But life definitely slows down if you’re intentionally trying to make it so. As I get older, I really try to savor my time and soak it in more. And staying busy and trying not to worry about the weird aches and pains that age brings helps with this. Having a purpose, hobby, and good self care can make time feel slower, more rich. “Age is just a number”. Whatever, older is older. Be thankful you’re still here to live it.
