Gig Harbor, WA.
Hello all;
So this week I got my launch day set to splash (take the boat off land storage and put it in the water). It way too big for a boat ramp so they use a special crane to put it in. While it’s exiting to look forward to it and the season, safety has to be the biggest concern. As a new solo Captain I was advised to join a boat club so I’m not cruising around alone too much and have resources to help with safety. Done and done, Don’t want to sink out there. While planning I’m reminded of all the changes and how important it is throughout life to stay flexible. As I get older my health or body usually do a pretty good job of reminding me of this. However, it’s definitely not common sense. I constantly have to remind myself too take it easy, slow down, take it all in. You’d think it would be easy in retirement, NOT!
